Injury Prevention Center of
Greater Dallas. This unique one of a kind agency helped
Dallas become the first city in North American to be recognized
by the World Health Organization as a "Safe Community."
Established as a partnership among Baylor Hospital, Children's
Hospital, Methodist Hospital, Parkland Hospital and Presbyterian
Hospital, the agency works to cut down the number of visits to
area hospital emergency rooms from preventable injuries.

Children's Advocacy Center.
This center is a non-profit public/private collaboration that
provides a coordinated, multi-agency approach to the
investigation, intervention and treatment of child sexual and

traces its beginnings to 1905 when Mary Sherman Allen formed a
