Our featured community agency this month is one of the best kept secrets in Dallas:  The Injury Prevention Center of Greater Dallas.

This unique one of a kind agency helped Dallas become the first city in North American to be recognized by the World Health Organization as a "Safe Community."  Established as a partnership among Baylor Hospital, Children's Hospital, Methodist Hospital, Parkland Hospital and Presbyterian Hospital, the agency works to cut down the number of visits to area hospital emergency rooms from preventable injuries.  It is a great example of how a public/private partnership should work.
