“Campaign professions such as Ken Benson
are becoming a new breed of influence peddler.”
-Fortune Magazine

That reference came during my work in Texas to helping pass the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA) in  Congress.

In our 24/7 world, where change is constant and knowledge translates into power, companies have to work every day to earn trust in the marketplace and build influence for their organization. In a nutshell, that’s what I do for clients — earn trust and build influence for their organizations.

Earlier in my career, I ran political campaigns. Using many of the same techniques I learned from those campaigns, I help clients develop a strategic focus, create positive messages and target key audiences of decision makers to win support of their objectives.

Over the years, I have helped clients introduce themselves in the Texas marketplace, establish effective media outreach programs, develop grassroots and grasstops lobbying efforts, and implement successful third party endorsement programs.

I have also coached them how to make effective presentations, manage events, raise funds, contact key decision makers as well as how to deal with angry constituents or customers.

I strive to provide individual service to clients, assisting their team in developing and implementing successful public affairs or public relations programs. If needed, I can put together a virtual team of professional associates to take on larger assignments or tasks for clients.

Most of my clients I have had for many years. My goal has been and will continue to be provide each client with not only strategic counsel but also practical advice developed from more than 30 years in public affairs and public relations. In the end, I want to create a positive impact for them among their key audiences as well as their bottom line.

Two years ago, I received a special recognition from Dallas Mayor Mike Rawlings for my work with the Dallas Breakfast Group and other public affairs activities in Dallas. That’s Mayor Rawlings in the picture above presenting me with the proclamation.
